1. What does "gently used" mean?

Gently Used Blankets have been inspected by our staff and are in good, clean condition and are fully functional. These blankets were purchased and returned to our store. They are the best of returned blankets that may show signs of slight wear, or new blankets pulled from production due to minor stitching flaws or bead color irregularities. We recommend washing the blanket before use.

2. What is the return policy for gently used blankets?

Gently used blankets are final sale and are ineligible for return or exchange.

3. Can I use a discount on a gently used blanket?

No additional discounts can be applied on gently used blankets as they are already significantly discounted.

4. When is the sale?

The Gently Used sale starts Friday, August 31 at 9am central time through Monday evening, September 3, while supplies last. Once a blanket is sold out, it will not be restocked. Once an order is placed, it cannot be changed or cancelled.

5. Which weight is right for me?

We suggest selecting the blanket that is closest to 10% of your body weight. You can find our size guide here:

6. Are the blankets hot?

We have three different fabrics: CoolMax, quilting cotton, and flannel. The CoolMax blanket wicks away heat and moisture to help keep you cool & dry. The 100% quilting cotton is a neutral temperature that does not add much warmth. The flannel fabric is designed to keep you warm and cozy.

7. What size are they?

Each of our blankets are made for individual use. Our cotton and flannel blankets are 42” x 70” while our CoolMax blankets are 54” x 74”.

8. Can I wash my blanket?

Yes - all of our blankets are machine washable. You can wash them in warm or cold water, and tumble dry on low.

9. When will I receive my order?

Most orders will ship mid-week after the sale. Our office is closed on Labor Day. Please allow 3-6 business days for transit time. Upon shipment, you’ll receive an email with a tracking number.

I bought one of the ‘gently used’ blankets and I would never have guessed it was not brand new. I love it.

Is there any other time or circumstance when a gently used blanket is offered. I just found about you and missed the sale. I have severe anxiety, panic attacks, etc. and just get social security and subsidized housing. THANKS

Wendy, your comment is bizarre. I worked in retail. People will return anything for the most frivolous reasons. I applaud the company not just for accepting returns, but for offering those (and imperfect/seconds) for sale for those who can’t afford new. And I don’t blame them for making those “deeply discounted” items final sale. Wow, I swear, some people will complain about anything.

I ordered the lap throw-it is perfect for the office, but I use it for sleeping to help avoid night leg cramps and restless leg. I’m loving the idea of a full size one for sleeping

What Blanket Weight Should I Buy?

A general rule when purchasing a weighted blanket is taking your weight and multiplying it by .10, or taking 10% of your body weight. Using that number, follow the chart below to guide you in finding the perfect blanket!

100 - 130 lbs
Quilted Cotton 10 lb
Flannel 10 lb
CoolMax® 15 lb
140 - 170 lbs
Quilted Cotton 15 lb
Flannel 15 lb
CoolMax® 15 lb
180 - 200 lbs
Quilted Cotton 20 lb
Flannel 20 lb
CoolMax® 20 lb
220 + lbs
Quilted Cotton N / A
Flannel N / A
CoolMax® 25 lb

Fall in between two different weight limits for two blankets? We suggest going with the smaller of the two blanket weights.

Still not sure which size to buy? Most of our customers buy one of the 15-pound blankets.
