Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Who do Weighted Blankets help?

A: Please refer to our full list by clicking here.  Our blankets are designed with adults in mind.

Q: Can the blankets be washed and dried?

A: Yes, the blankets are machine washable.

Q: What are the blankets filled with?

A: The  pellets used in our blankets are made from a PVC compound produced using FDA-approved, non-hazardous materials.  The product, if in contact with skin, is non-irritating and no effect is expected if ingested by humans and animals. This product burns when exposed to temperatures greater than 600°F.

Q: How long does it take to receive a blanket?

A: Most orders are completed within one week.

Q: Which weight is right for me?

A: The blanket weight should 10% of your body weight, plus 1-3 lbs. Please choose the closest weight available in that range. See the chart by clicking here.

Q: What size are the blankets?

A: The blankets are about the size of a twin blanket, about 68 inches by 38-40 inches.

Q: How do they work?

A: Weighted blankets work like deep tissue massage. The pressure releases serotonin in the body and some of that serotonin becomes melatonin. Melatonin helps us relax and sleep.

Q: Would the blankets help children with sensory processing issues?

A: A child with sensory processing issues needs to have a treatment plan with a specialized therapist in order to experience optimal benefits from a weighted product. We do not recommend our blankets for use with children under 80 lbs. Our blankets are intended for adults.

Q: How warm are the blankets?

A: Our flannel and dotted blankets add warmth. All other blankets are made with quilting cotton and do not add much warmth.

Q: Do you ship internationally?

A: No. We only ship within the Continental United States.
